Our School or District uses artificial intelligence to strengthen teaching, learning, and operations while protecting privacy, fairness, accessibility, academic integrity, healthy human development, and human responsibility.

AI may support—but does not replace—the thinking, relationships, professional judgment, creativity, and accountability at the core of education.

Baseline requirements

• Use only AI tools reviewed and approved by the school or district.
• Do not enter confidential, personally identifiable, health, disability, disciplinary, or other protected information unless an authorized agreement and approved workflow explicitly allow it.
• Check important facts, citations, images, calculations, and claims against reliable sources before use or publication.
• Disclose meaningful AI assistance when required by an assignment, role, or communication context.
• Provide a non-AI path when access, disability, language, age, or family choice makes it necessary.
• Keep a person responsible for every consequential educational or operational decision.

Incidents and questions

Report suspected privacy, safety, bias, accuracy, integrity, or misuse concerns to the designated school administrator. The organization will document, review, and respond using its existing safety, privacy, academic-integrity, and personnel procedures.

Review and adoption

This policy is reviewed annually and whenever laws, contracts, organizational practices, or material AI capabilities change.

This draft does not require a board or superintendent signature. It should be adopted through the organization’s applicable administrative or governance process.
